Center for Integrative Medicine

Dr. Spiegel founded Stanford’s Center for Integrative Medicine in 1998, and has been its Medical Director ever since.  Treatment modalities offered include medical evaluation, hypnosis, acupuncture, mindfulness-based stress reduction, therapeutic massage, and forgiveness classes.  The Center is flourishing, with 5,000 visits per year.  The program focuses on teaching patients pain control, medical procedural anxiety management; treatment of side effects such as nausea, fatigue, smoking contol, and stress management.
